The rattle is made from a segment of horn with a wooden handle. The horn segment is slightly curved and painted with diamonds in yellow with red ends. There are green triangles in the space between the diamonds and a thin blue band at the top and bottom. The dark brown wooden handle is straight. There are two strips of red felt and a large grey and white mottled feather tied at the junction. There is a peg in the center of the other end with a dark grey and light grey feather tied on a strip of buckskin.
