The stringed instrument has a triangular wooden resonating chamber, covered with two pieces of dark brown leather, stitched together with a wide band of cord. There are two round holes. The "seam" near the neck is woven through strips of leather. The neck curves upward, and has five pegs on one side, one peg on the other. The strings stretch from each peg to the resonating chamber.
