Inscriptions/Signature

The glass lantern slide is of a man, identified as a Micmac person, standing in profile. On his back is a large woven basket on a wooden frame. In his proper left hand he holds a rifle. The man has brown hair and a gray beard, and he wears a white long-sleeved shirt and gray vest and trousers.
