The tall drum slightly flares in the middle of the body. The body is wood, decorated with six incised lines around the middle and six thicker incised lines near the top. Wooden rings at the top and bottom hold the thin leather straps in place, stretched from top to bottom. One brass ring pairs each set of neighboring strips. There is one small leather loop between the two straps and a cord of twisted plant fiber between two broken strips. It has a stretched hide head and there is something inside the drum that makes noise.
