This is a wooden mortar (2007.6826.a) and a pestle (2007.6826.b). The mortar appears to be made from a large log. The outside surface is irregular and cracked. The receptacle portion is relatively shallow. The pestle is a cylinder of wood, slightly larger at the ends. The ends are worn, but the middle is shiny from wear. It is brown.
