The spear has a very long wooden shaft that appears to be a tree with the limbs cut off as it is not a smooth cylinder. The leaf-shaped metal point is inserted in one end and secured with twisted plant fiber string and resin. There are two small loops of twisted plant fiber string on the shaft, one at the middle and one at the end.
