Description

The length of reed has a twisted and braided plant fiber tether at one end (2007.6493.a). The small wooden piece with a point at one end is secured to the loose end of the plant fiber string with plant fiber wrapping and resin.

The wooden point (2007.6493.b) attaches to one end of the reed harpoon. It is more sharply tapered at one end for insertion, though there is a gentle taper to a point at the opposite end. It is dark brown.
