The woman is wearing a large basket on her head with a baby strapped to her back. The bodice of her dress is striped with smaller designs in each stripe in red, green, black, and yellow. Her long skirt is dark blue with a white grid pattern. An unbleached cloth is wrapped around her back and chest to secure the baby, who is wrapped in dark blue with a red head wrap.

The mother has a paper body, nailed to a square wooden base. Her face is embroidered. The basket has one acorn in it.
