Inscriptions/Signature

Photograph of a woman in profile against a white backdrop seated in a chair draped with a blanket decorated in bands of geometric designs. She wears a dark wool dress with several rows of dentalium shells radiating down from the collar and with bands of ribbons around the end of the sleeve. On her head she wears a large headdress with a row of brown and white eagle feathers extending up and back. At the forehead is a horizontal band of white beadwork with geometric patterns. At the side is a cluster of several ribbons and strips of white fur extending down her shoulder.
