Description

This knife has an iron blade with an arced cutting edge. The wooden portion of the handle is carved with a convex end at an angle, a curlicue-like embellishment on the higher end and a square decoration that looks like it is "dripping off" the bottom side of the convex surface. A wide metal band, probably brass, covers the bottom portion of the wooden handle. The metal is embellished with bands that appear to be braided strings covered with some substance. Three of these bands are on the metal surface, one is on the wood.
