The square of cloth is made from four narrow strips sewn together. They are dark blue with 12 iterations of an anchor-like design in off-white. There are two circles made from dots and a bow and curling trailers at the straight end of each anchor. The top and bottom edges are unfinished.

The design was made using katazome, a stencil-printed technique.
