The blanket is made from eider duck skins sewn together. They are rectangular most of which is a patchwork of light brown downy feathered breast skins with a white edge, forming rows of scallops. The edges have white, black, and light green feathered skins from the back of the duck's head.

The back shows pelts stitched together.
