The silver colored round bowl flares at the top and has a small circular foot. The shallow lid has a lip to sit inside the bowl rim and comes to a knob-like point on top.

Townspeople use this to serve oil or sugar, but the Baggara use it as a standardized measure for things like milk, buttermilk, flour, etc. when women were selling at the market.

Dr. Michael was told this was called spun aluminum.
