Inscriptions/Signature

Reproduction of a painting depicting a man, identified as Keokuk, standing with a decorated staff. He is bald, but wears a red roach headdress and a bearclaw necklace. He is wearing a triangular collar with black horsehair fringe, bucksking leggings and a red breechclout. Red blanket is draped over his left shoulder. Holds a wooden staff decorated with eagle feathers in his left hand and a round shield appears to be attached to his arm. Small axe in his right hand.
