The small globular pot has a relatively wide opening and small shoulder. It has two different carved designs. The first is possibly a highly stylized bird. The top edge, sloping downward, has four steps, there is a point at one end (the "head"), over two long and narrow triangular points. There are two repeats of a second design that are similar but truncated. The end opposite the head is rectangular rather than ending in a triangular shape with the stepped edge along the bottom under a single long, narrow triangle. It has a glossy black field with matte black inside the carved designs.
