The wooden headrest has two supports that flare at the bottom. The wooden dowel between the supports is wrapped with a strip of rawhide.

The supports have incised designs on both sides. One has a checkerboard pattern at the bottom, and the other has wide vertical stripes at the bottom. The outside of one is decorated with a herringbone pattern near the top and the other is not. Both have striped animals with tall, spiralling horns.
