The sword has a carved wooden handle. The handle is dark brown with silver colored metal strips on the top and bottom, held in place with four bands of braided string and a metal band at the base. The blade is wavy at the proximal end, but becomes straight about halfway down the length. There is a flare at the proximal end that has geometric cutouts and there is a smaller projection opposite with a curling hook.
