Description
Inscriptions/Signature

The rectangular, partially completed mat consists of stems of cattail plants set parallel to each other, bound with twisted fiber, which is hidden inside the structure of the mat. The finished edges are twisted cattails. One half of the mat, which is folded over the woven portion, is unbound cattail stems. There are twisted plant fiber cords and a bundle of flat plant fibers, tied with string, with the mat.
