Description

The pastry making kit has nine pieces present and two that are not present (one beater, and one ladle).
2007.3442.a is a globular brass sieve with a flat bottom and light natural wooden handle. The handle has a carved leaf-like embellishment at the end opposite the sieve. The bowl has bands of short vertical lines and a band of scalloped triangles. It is held in place with two small pegs.
2007.3442.b is a rectangular wooden base. About halfway up, the sides slant inward toward the flat top. Two rectangular holes, used to receive posts, are at either end of the top. Leaf-like designs are carved into the top and long slanted sides.
2007.3442.c is a post with a rectangular peg used to sit into one hole on the base. The curvy column topped with a leaf-like embellishment functions as a hook to hold part a.
2007.3442.d is a post with a rectangular peg to sit into one hole on the base. The curvy column topped with leaf-like decorations in a "V" shape are meant to hold one end of part a.
2007.3442.e is a paddle of light natural wood with one rounded end and one angled end with notches.
2007.3442.f is a paddle of light natural wood with one rounded end and one angled end with notches.
2007.3442.g is a medium brown wooden peg with a blade-like projection, with a notch on the top edge to receive the paddle. One edge is scalloped and the flat sides are decorated with curlicues.
2007.3442.h is a medium brown wooden peg with a blade-like projection, with a notch on the top edge to receive the paddle. One edge is scalloped and the flat sides are decorated with curlicues.
2007.3442.i is a beater, made from a flat piece of medium brown wood, with a notch near one end and incised lines mirroring the shape of the notch.
