Description

This knife (2007.0398.a) with an iron blade, has a knob on the handle, carved to look like a stylized animal head with a horn on the nose. It has incised decorations over most of the wooden surface. The guard is metal.

The scabbard (2007.0398.b) is made of two slats of wood, held together with originally gold-colored bands. The top has a thick band of hide, though only a small amount of fur is left, visible near the seam.
