The blanket is made from eider duck skins sewn together. It is rectangular, most of which is a patchwork of white feathered skins from the back or breast of the male eider duck. The border along the edge is dark brown feathered skins. The edges are light brown downy feathers.
The back is made from brown and white mottled downy feathers.
