The long rectangular mat is woven from plant fiber. The plant fibers are dyed purple, green, and yellow, along with other fibers that are undyed and have a natural light tan color. The main portion of the mat is woven in diagonal stripes. There are thin stripes that are dyed green and purple and have alternating blocks of designs in diagonal stripes. Those thin stripes alternate with wider stripes that are purple and yellow or purple and natural color. Those stripes similarly have alternating blocks of designs that are similar to a herringbone pattern. On either end there are triangles in plaid designs and solid purple triangles. The long edges of the mat have a purple border.
