The black triangular metal point has barbed shoulders. The stem is sandwiched between two pieces of bone, secured with metal rivets and string wrapping and covered with resin. The free ends of the bone poke out the other side of the string wrapping as barbs. The relatively short length of line is wrapped with string. There is a small loop at the end.
