The flattened cylinder of hide is now lacking most of the fur. It has a band of brown leather near the bottom and at the opening. The strap was made from many strips of braided leather that come together in a flat knob at one end, buttoned through a braided leather loop. The end that attaches near the opening of the quiver is wrapped with a band of leather. Another band of hide near the top of the strap appears to slide along the strap. It is also missing its fur, and is decorated with rows of triangles made from strips of leather.
