Description

Globular brass pot (2007.3044.a) sits on a pedestal and has a lid (2007.3044.b). The pot has a round, domed foot decorated with small oval and triangular cutouts. The stem has a prominent ridge. The belly has a skirt that hangs off the bottom, decorated with cutouts to leave a scallop design within the original skirt border. The belly itself is decorated with two bands of small triangles at the widest point, another at the top and bottom and a band of curlicues near the top. There is a lip to sit into the lid.

The domed lid has a large finial in the center top. The remainder of the lid is decorated with a wide band of floral looking curlicues, flanked by bands of triangles.
