This is a shield shaped pocket. The visible portion of the back panel is covered with light green felt. The front of the pocket is seal fur. The back of the piece is covered in blue and white ticking fabric. The piece and the top of the pocket were edged in light brown silk, which is now almost entirely gone.

The beaded decoration on the felt portion consists of a medium blue six pointed star or flower, with a a band of clear beads inside and translucent red at the interior points.

The beaded decoration on the fur portion consists of a dark green felt heart with a beaded bird outline in dark blue with a yellow head and feet. He is sitting on a brown branch. One loose string of white beads may have been stitched to the top of the panel. There are not enough white beads around the edge of the piece to see the original design. They may have been whipstitched.
