The woven basket has a rectangular foot made from a splint of wood. The herringbone patterned woven portion has a rectangular bottom, but the sides bulge out and the neck tapers. There is a raised woven pattern at the corners and near the rim. There are two small handles at the same level. The basket is black.

This piece probably had a lid at one time.
