Description

The hexagonal lid (2007.2836.a) sits over the top and covers the hexagonal bottom (2007.2836.b). Both pieces are woven of light natural colored plant fiber, visible on the inside, but the outside surfaces are decorated with colored fibers.

The lid has the remnants of a knob in the center. This is decorated with black fibers, woven in a style that yields a 6-pointed star-like design, with red fiber through the center of each star. The bottom is woven in the same pattern, though the 6-pointed star does not have a red line through it, leaving the natural color showing as a star with a black outline.
