Description

On the large round woven basket, the rim is a hoop of wood. The warp fibers are wide splints. The weft fibers are thinner, except for the one nearest the rim, which is the size of the warp fibers. There are two rectangular cutouts under the rim for handles. The basket is noticeably lopsided.
