The long, shallow coiled basket, tapers at one end that is shorter, mimicking a baby's swadled form. The wider end has a long buckskin strip tied to the rim, forming a loop. There are two buckskin strips tied about 1/3 of distance from narrower end, one on either side.

It has a brown surface. The exterior is decorated with blocks of black/brown checkerboard, created by placing black fiber on the coil and alternating stitching over and under the decorative fiber.
