The globular gourd bottle's (2007.5406.a) exterior has a very sticky, glossy black treatment. It has a bundle of plant fiber for the stopper (2007.5406.b).

Gourds were generally used to store and carry seeds. This one was more likely used for honey, as evidenced by the sticky residue.
