The bulbous gourd bottle (2007.5401.a) has a flat bottom that tapers to a short neck. It is light brown or dark yellow and has a bundle of fiber for a stopper (2007.5401.b).

It is filled with dark yellow pepper seeds that are now in a separate bag. The hot pepper seeds may have been intended for seasoning or planting.
