The ornament is made from two strings of twisted plant fiber knotted at one end. The bottom half is covered with yellow and orange feathers. The top layer of feathers is secured with black resin. It has a tassel of green feathers at the end. Each feather is secured with a length of wrapped string, so they are mobile.

The long string is tied around the neck with the feather strands hanging to the back. This is worn only by men.
