2007.5539.a is a strip of buckskin, lined with undyed cotton which folds over the top edge. There are two cloth ties at one end of the buckskin strip. The dark brown hoof rattles are held onto the bottom edge of the buckskin with string or a strip of leather. There are metal thimbles interspersed with hooves, also on leather strips.

2007.5539.b is a wide strip of thick cotton cloth covered with a red cotton cloth. There is one leather tie at the end. Dark brown hoof rattles are held onto the cotton cloth with string or a strip of leather. Metal thimbles are interspersed with hooves.
