The short handled wooden hoe has an iron blade. The blade has two rows of triangles with a cross hatched design in the center of one side. The other side is too corroded to see if there was any decoration present. The knob opposite the blade flares at the end, with a ridge, and is covered with brass tacks. There are four brass bands around the handle, adjacent to the portion covered with tacks. The bands are incised with lines and a zigzag. The very end of the handle has two brass tacks.
