Description

This hourglass-shaped stool has brass and iron tacks, in concentric circles, on the seat, and two rows of tacks in a center circle to the edge of the seat. One of the rows ends in a cluster of tacks on the edge of the seat. There is a single tack on the base of the stool below this cluster.

A carved band around the narrow portion of the stool has two old staple-like repairs.
