Description

The basket (2007.0936.a) and lid (2007.0936.b) are made of woven plant fibers. The body has a handle of braided plant fiber, threaded through two loops. There are two woven bands, (the upper with two thin dark bands and a diamond pattern, the lower with a zig zag pattern) that form a bowl with a ring of dark wood that acts as a foot. The bowl-like lid is woven in a different pattern with a bamboo wrapped rim that sits into the body of the basket and has a ring of dark wood on top of it, that allows the lid to be used as a bowl.
