Description

The basket is made of woven plant fiber and has a lid attached by a string of twisted plant fiber, which is attached to both pieces at a small loop. The string was originally attached to the base at both loops and threaded through the loops on the lid. The body and lid both have a strip of dark green green plant fiber near the rim. The body of the basket is attached to a base of thin strips of bamboo which have been stacked and tied.

This was used to store cassava (manioc) flour.
