Description

This is a long-bladed iron knife. The wooden hourglass-shaped handle is wrapped in copper or brass flattened wire. The blade has a short rounded proximal segment without a cutting edge and a long pointed segment that emerges from the first segment. The longer segment has a cutting edge for most of its length. The blade is decorated the same on both faces: two holes pierce the distal segment, near its point. The face is divided longitudinally with one side having parallel incised lines that mirror the shape of the edge to the midline. The proximal segment has four incised lines on the other side of the midline.
