Description

The hooked wooden handle (2007.3196.a) is decorated with a small face that has a single spike-like projection at the top, identified as a Chikunza mask. The spike is decorated with horizontal bands. The scooped metal blade (2007.3196.b) has a long triangular extension that inserts into the wooden handle. The shaft of the handle is a light natural color, and the hooked portion, including the face, is darker.
