Description

This small knife (2007.0385.a) has a short iron blade with one cutting edge. The wooden handle has a double knob at the end, and a rounded segment with a circular hole in which the iron tang is visible.

The sheath (2007.0385.b) has an undecorated leather back with two small vertical slits. The front is tin, with the edges folded over the leather edges, and nailed down. It is mostly "U" shaped, with a small tail off to one side. A band of dots is embossed around the borders. The center field is divided into decorated panels. There are two large rectangles of cross hatching, separated by a thin band of short vertical bands.
