The vest has a buckskin front, a red velvet back, and a dark blue cotton lining. Red velvet edges the opening, and there is dark blue cotton at the arm holes and the bottom of the vest. There is short buckskin fringe at the shoulder and side seams. The buckskin is beaded on either side with a light blue four-pointed star with red and medium blue detail, medium blue leaves at the top and bottom points and white leaves on the side points. There is a light blue stem with light blue, red, green, and dark blue leaves nearest the opening. The white stem has dark blue, green, and red leaves near the side seam. There are two elk's teeth and one bear tooth on the red velvet placket. There are buckskin ties for closure.
