The light natural colored bamboo shaft and the wooden foreshaft are wrapped in plant fiber. The point is wrapped in yellow and dark blue plant fibers. The barbs are made from fish bones and they emerge from the brown plant fiber wrappings between the striped portion and the foreshaft that is decorated with woven plant fibers in a yellow and dark brown chevron pattern.

The shaft is decorated with bands of thin longitudinal black lines at the nodes in the bamboo.
