The oval bowl has a flat wooden bottom. The sides are made from bent horn or wood and nailed to the wooden bottom. There are two seams, each on a long side of the oval, with a narrow strip of bone or horn to cover, nailed in place and sewn with sinew. The bottom is dark brown and the sides are mottled light color and brown.
