Dark brown stencil paper with a silk mesh backing laminated with persimmon tannin. It has a repetitive patterns of water chesnut quatrefoil on a ground of narrow vertical stripes. It has four vertical registers of a floral pattern. The design of quatrefoils are varied in each register with a band of left-half large quatrefoils on the far right side.
