The lid is decorated with floral patterns in sets of 3, including hollyhock leaves, paulownia flowers and chrysanthemums in various shades of gold. At the edges of both the lid and the bottom, and around the foot of the vessel, are bends of decorative patterns in blue, red and gold. Both the insides of the lid and dish are painted with chrysanthemums and butterflies in color and gold.
