Description

Porcelain pitcher with a lavender ground and white relief decorations. The pitcher is bulbous shaped with a circular foot, a straight top and protruding lip. The lip is in the form of a bearded satyr's head, crowned with grapes and vine leaves. The handle is ear-shaped and scrolled at the top and bottom. There is a relief border of vines and grapes around the neck. On the body of the pitcher is a design of a winged mythological figure with an urn in classical design.
