Description

wood with traces of red lacquer and gild; yosegi zukuri (multiple wood block construction), inset glass eyes and urna in forehead, metal headdress, with separate carved lotus petal throne base. Statue is of a standing Bodhisattva, attributes missing. It appears to be mate to 2006.0146, although the bases for the two statues do not match.
