A single page from a book. The image is set to the left of the page allowing for space on the right for binding. Two, thin, regular square borders, one inside of the next surround the portrait head of Mounet-Sully. It is a three-quarters pose to just beneath the chin with only a small portion of the figure’s neck represented. The beard and mustache of the figure are indicated with outlining only whereas the shoulder-length hair is represented as a mass of solid black. The eyes of the figure are closed
