Printed in black ink. Border design by Vallotton, text in French set within border is entitled, “JOURS D’ÉTÉ.” Border above features a rising sun with rays extending to edge. On each side, upper one-third of border are predominantly white representations of clouds. Bottom border and extended two-thirds of the way on right is a representation of grassy area with large rocks distinguished tonally by regular diagonal cuts. On lower left border a cliff face gives way to a cloudy sky.
